At Upcycles, we are striving to create an affordable opportunity for community building by creating a fun and welcoming environment for all of your laundry and thrifting needs! We are an eco-friendly business doing our part in careing for the planet and community.
Four college friends — Bella, Brenna, Megan, and Elissa — met in a sustainability club and quickly bonded over late-night laundry runs and thrift-shopping adventures. Between juggling classes, part-time jobs, and a passion for eco-friendly living, they saw a gap in their community: a place where people could care for their clothes and shop sustainably at the same time.
What started as a class project turned into a real business plan. They envisioned a space that combined an eco-conscious laundromat with a vibrant thrift store — saving water and energy, keeping clothing out of landfills.
